UAPPD is one of the oldest mass media public organizations in Ukraine. The association has been founded in 1996 as voluntary non-commercial non-governmental organization in Kiev, Ukraine.

The association unites press publishers, distributors, and other entrepreneurs which activity is connected with the publishing and distribution of periodicals. UAPPD enterprises members represent 90% of all retail and subscription press in Ukrainian market.

Aims

The protection of professional interests of press publishers and distributors in Ukraine, formation of the civilized mass media market and system of periodical press’ distribution, as well as protection of the rights and interests of members of our Association.

Control organs

The supreme bodies of management are – the General meeting, President and Presidium of Association.

President UAPPD and Editor-in-Сhief is Artur Rudzitsky.

Membership

Membership in Association is voluntary and individual.

Ukrainian and foreign legal persons, creative unions, research centers which are engaged in the press market, commercial and non-commercial organizations connected with the publishing and distribution of periodicals can become UAPPD members.

The obligatory condition of membership in Association is payment of an introductory and annual membership fees.

Activity

The major directions of activity of Association are:

• Studying of the market of periodicals, creation of conditions and rules for distributors of printed mass media in Ukraine;
• Informational, scientifically -methodical, organizational and other help for publishers and distributors of a periodicals;
• Cooperation with political organizations with the purpose of realization and protection of political, economical and other rights of the members, and also protection of the rights of citizens on an easy access to the information;
• Development and strengthening of international connections in the circles of mass media publishing and distribution, the introduction in the international organizations of press publishers and distributors.
